and the Pork Rinds… I go over the Acceptable Foods for Atkins Induction and Extended Induction phase and personal advice on how to have a successful Induction phase. Having a successful Induction phase of Atkins is so much more than just losing weight. It is about getting your eating under your control again, getting your blood glucose levels stabilized, starting to learn new healthy habits with food, and finally to experience the magic of ketosis to the person needing to lose weight.
Learning new comfort foods is one of the main steps. The low carb recipe sites play a key role in achieving this goal. Here are a few of my favorite:

Part of the diet is …
Part of the diet is figuring out how many carbs you can eat per day and still stay the same weight on the maintenance phase. People who go through all the phases as opposed to simply doing Induction and then cheating once in awhile are typically the most successful.

if you lose weight on this diet, and you allow yourself to eat carbs one day. how quickly would you regain weight? is it safe to treat yourself once in a while?

SF Candy after …
SF Candy after Induction is definitely a YMMV. Many people are extremely sensitive to the sugar alcohols in those SF candy as they are often the worst of SA – malitol and Sorbitol — in causing gastric distress. For me personally, I had cut completely from eating that junk as it was just too close to old junk food habits and would have simply encouraged overeating.
One other thing, don’t subtract the sugar alcohol carbs from the total carb counts. Mfg will often do that and stall a lot of ppl.

Trying to find …
Trying to find bacon that’s not cured in sugar is next to impossible, so I personally chose to eat only bacon that had 0g of carbs on the label. Then count it as 1g per servings, and limit my intake to no more than 2-3 servings per day.
My favorite brand is Farmland Hickory Smoked.

Can you recommend any type of induction friendlt bacon that i can have on induction?

I just had this …
I just had this question last night by another person. Check out my latest video. The quiche can be made vegetarian friendly just by changing out the meat for another veggie choice. Or check out my Cauliflower bisque recipe posted here. In the end, you start focusing on increasing the fat by making sauces and flavor with cream, butter, oils, to you vegetables, and exchanging the high carb items like rice for things like faux rice.

yeah, the more …
yeah, the more often you have meals a day, the faster your metabolism is.
And keep them on regular times (make a schedule). This is even better for the metabolism, so it works fast and knows what to expect in a way.

What about slim jims..can i have em on induction?
August 30th, 2009 - 9:36 pm
I think starting …
I think starting out with 20g per day is good, but the amount once you are at maintenance or through Induction is very personal as some people are more sensitive to carbs or certain foods than others. Most reasonable can eat up to 80-120g per day at maintenance.
August 30th, 2009 - 9:36 pm
how many carbs …
how many carbs should you take in a day if youre an 18 year old female?
August 30th, 2009 - 9:36 pm
Yeah it astounds me …
Yeah it astounds me that vegeteranism is automatically ociated with healthy living, but like your example, there is a lot of veg junk as well. Is a processed tofu burger any better than the processed TVP patties from school lunch days? To say nothing of the other refined processed junk masquerading as low fat or nonfat foods.
Thanks for providing your voice to the throng that have learned the truth.
